How can I join your classes?
Attendance to the Dojo (Monday to Friday) is granted prior booking. You can book your class by contacting us by mail, through Facebook or simply by texting us at 0416 45 39 36. Students may decide to purchase a Pass-Card for multiple entries or membership formulas: this will give access to discounted prices.
If you are not totally sure about the right class for you, feel free to book an appointment with us: we will give you all the necessary information, while you enjoy the peace and tranquillity of our Dojo. Our Dojo is also open for visits on Saturdays (between 9:30 and 16:30) strictly by appointment.
Who can join your Kung fu Academy?
Minimum age for enrolling: 14 years old.
If you don’t know where to start, we strongly recommend you to join our Basic Kung fu class, which is meant to take you to the highest levels of the Shaolin Martial Arts world step by step, from the first punch to the highest kick. If, instead, you are confident to learn a specific style, welcome on board and let’s start training.
*Shaolin kung fu is a complete way of living. Differently to widespread fighting sports, we teach you to master your body and mind before acting. This is why we prefer to meet you in person before you begin your training.
I have many years of experience in Martial Arts and I’d like to skip the basics…
Admittance into advanced styles, forms or weapons is dependent on grades. Whatever your style is (Aikido, Karate, Judo, Brazilian Jujitsu, MMA or other), you are welcome to visit our dojo first, to discuss with us the specific goals you are searching for.
What’s the training like?
Our Academy follows a basic eight classes cycle:
- two classes per week (Tuesday + Friday)
- four weeks program
- eight classes in total.
Each class is different and progressive: it can be basics, it can be acrobatics, kick boxing, self defense, weapons and many more. You can choose the class you like most, although we invite you to try them all and enroll in a full-month cycle for the first time you train with us. Full cycle details is provided on person only: you can contact us anytime to check which class is on that particular day.
Is training demanding? I heard Shaolin Kungfu is extremely tough…
Our aim is to provide our Students the most genuine and committed preparation in Shaolin Kung fu training. However, to ensure Students are provided with an increasing training experience, and in order to avoid over-training, our teaching style is set to a medium-level for the first academic year.
All other experienced Kungfu athletes who train independently and regularly and desire to have a real Shaolin experience are invited to attend the advanced-level schedule starting from 5 AM. This is totally up to how hard you want to challenge yourself.
Is there a less-hardcore class for me? I don’t like to push myself so hard!
Yes, we also offer a Wednesday class, but it’s a specific style (called Baji quan) and is focused mainly on self defense: this extra day is also suitable for people who don’t like the intense and demanding Shaolin Training, while its routines will still keep you very fit.
How much does it cost?
You can have an idea of the Academy fees by visiting our E-Shop site. There are not enrollment fees and purchasing the official uniform and shoes is totally up to you.
Is there anything I can do before I attend the first time?
Yes: we have activated a parallel website called Martial Arts Explained where you can find inspirational videos, tips and trick for your Martial training: check this out:
